Sheryl Jones, RD, LD, MBA

Sheryl Jones is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a Masters in Business Administration from Central Missouri State University. Ms. Jones has worked at the Visiting Nurse Association in Kansas City, for the last 15 years. With increasing levels of responsibility, she served the last 6 years at the director level over regulatory affairs, provider contracting, marketing/sales and health promotion. Sheryl also held the following positions during her tenure at VNA: Community Relations Rep, Medical Review Manager, Performance Improvement Manager, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Provider Relations, Health Promotion Manager and Grants/Fund Development Manager.
Sheryl has written policies and procedures and directed the ACHC accreditation for the infusion pharmacy and Joint Commission accreditation for home health. Ms. Jones established a two-state infusion nursing network in conjunction with the home infusion company. Kansas City - VNA was one of fifty agencies involved in the Medicare demonstration project to establish OASIS as a quality improvement tool. During that time, Sheryl was the Performance Improvement Manager and worked with the University of Colorado personnel directing the demonstration project. Sheryl also has experience with negotiating managed care contracts and managing homecare sales and marketing staff. In the insurance arena, Sheryl worked closely with payers to establish clinical programs that would reduce hospitalization including home telehealth monitoring and total joint programs.
As a member of the Missouri Alliance for Home Care and Kansas City Regional Homecare Association, Sheryl has served on numerous committees. She understands the challenges faced by agencies with the never ending financial and regulatory refinements being imposed. Sheryl has experience in customer service training and has presented to professional and paraprofessional groups on topics such as HIPAA, Quality Improvement and the importance of customer service. Sheryl gives excellent customer service, works closely with clients to determine their needs for educational resources and continually improves TCG products and manuals by monitoring the industry and providing timely revisions and additions.
