About the Presenters
Becky Smarr, PT, COS-C - TCG Associate
Becky is a Certified OASIS Specialist and has 30 years of experience in the home health industry in a variety of clinical, operational, teaching/training, management and consultative roles. With extensive knowledge of Home Health PPS and Medicare regulation, her focus is on balancing clinical excellence with financial success. While maintaining her therapy knowledge and skills, she also offers expertise in clinical and operational analysis and management, data interpretation, regulatory compliance, resolution of survey and reimbursement issues, documentation, margin management and clinical standards.
Sheryl Jones, RD, LD, MBA - Manager of Corridor Product Services
Sheryl is responsible for developing and updating policy and procedure manuals, new product development, customizing products to meet specific customer needs and keeping up-to-date on regulation and accreditation changes. Before joining TCG, Sheryl worked at the Visiting Nurse Association of Kansas City for 15 years. The VNA of Kansas City was one of fifty home health agencies that participated in the OASIS pilot program. During the three-year pilot period, Sheryl was in charge of the performance improvement department and worked closely to improve outcomes as part of the pilot program. She was also the director over regulatory affairs, provider contracting, marketing/sales and health promotion. Sheryl has presented to national, state and local organizations on topics such as HIPAA and OBQI.
