CMS held a Special Open Door Forum call to announce its plans to assign a Star Rating System to the Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS). CMS plans to add a Five Star Ratings for HHCAHPS measures beginning with the January 2016 public reporting period on Home Health Compare. The data will include surveys of patients who received home health care from July 2014 through July 2015. HHCAHPS Star Ratings will be applied to three publicly reported composite measures and to one of the publicly reported measures.
