CMS Released Two Transmittals For Home Health Agencies

Posted on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 3:08 PM

CMS has issued two transmittals for home health providers. The first is Change Request (CR) 9198. CR 9198 instructs the Medicare claims processing contractor on several changes planned for the home health Pricer. The new Pricer contains updates to allow processing type of bill 032Q or 033Q, as required by CR 8581 related to automatic claim re-openings. The CR also corrects errors affecting the payments on 2015 claims. The second is CR 9192, which provides the quarterly update of Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes used for home health consolidated billing. The new HCPCS codes in the CR replace the current HCPCS codes. Click here for more details on the transmittals.
