Hospice Nuts & Bolts© meets criteria for completion of Regulatory and Compliance Issues, a Level II module of the Hospice Manager Development Program, an offering of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).
Hospice Nuts & Bolts© is a two-day intensive training focused on:
- Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Documentation of eligibility
- Progressive corrective action and appeals process
- Interdisciplinary team functioning and process
- The interdisciplinary team meeting
- QAPI implementation
- Components of an effective compliance plan
- Hospice care in facilities
- Common pitfalls in hospice practice
- Risk areas for hospices
Through instruction, group activities, case examples, discussion, post-tests and role-play, Hospice Nuts & Bolts© brings the most important regulatory and best practice standards to life in a fun, team building experience. Each participant will need TCG’s Hospice Quickflips©. This guide serves as an accompaniment to the training program and is designed as an easy reference tool for hospice clinicians. It includes the Local Coverage Determinations for each Fiscal Intermediary, resources for documentation of eligibility, tips for effective interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning, and key information from the Medicare Conditions of Participation.
