New HHS Disaster Preparedness Resource System Available

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) has launched the Technical Resources, Assistance Center, and Information Exchange (TRACIE) to support health professionals and improve disaster preparedness. ASPR says it’s “the nation’s first and most comprehensive system of resources designed specifically to help communities better prepare for and manage the health impacts of disasters.” TRACIE features the following:

  • technical resources searchable by keyword;
  • access via phone and online specialists for one-on-one support;
  • just-in-time recommendations; and
  • information exchange via a peer-to-peer discussion board.
