CMS has posted the revised Hospice Item Set (HIS) Manual, V1.02 online in the “Downloads” portion of its HIS webpage. There is a change table outlining the changes from V1.01 to V1.02 that accompanies the revised Manual. These revisions clarify the HIS item definitions and expectations for use. Providers should download and review the new version for the most up-to-date guidance on the HIS item completion. CMS is hosting an HIS-focused National Provider Call on June 17, 2015 to review the updates. Providers may register for the MLN Connects National Provider Call scheduled for June 17, 2015 from 1:30 – 3:00 pm ET online at the MLN National Provider Calls and Events webpage.
