Best Buy, Amazon and Walmart Leading Retail’s Race into Home-Based Care

Major retailers and running to find their way into the expanding demand for in home health care. In the past few weeks, each of these retailers have made strides in doing so.
Best Buy recently announced that their goal is to provide is to provide 5 million seniors with home health monitoring services in the next five years. Amazon is taking a different approach as they rolled out “Amazon Care” which is a virtual care clinic allowing their employees and their families to video chat or text. Walmart is stepping into the home healthcare arena with a new prototype of its Walmart Health Clinic. It features a kiosk that helps educate consumers on home health options.
