More Seniors Plan to Use Online Pharmacies, Other Technology for Aging in Place

In a study conducted by Retirement Living, retirees are more likely than ever to utilize technology in order to stay in their own homes. More than 80% or respondents report that they plan to stay put, with 52% reporting that they will hire caregivers to help them when needed.
Almost 54% of seniors said that they would use an online pharmacy and 40% reported that they would use medical alert systems and food delivery services.
“As more people age, the future of the industry may be technology-forward in order to ease the workload of home health nurses and home care aides, according to experts.”
